Datawiza Introduces Agent Gateway for Enterprise AI Governance

Building on its experience securing hundreds of mission-critical enterprise applications, Datawiza is introducing Agent Gateway—an identity-aware enforcement layer that brings zero-trust governance to enterprise AI agents. The platform brings access policy, downstream credential protection, and audit trails to agent workflows across enterprise systems.

As enterprises move AI agents from experiments into operational workflows, access becomes a business concern. Agents can retrieve sensitive information, update records, and trigger actions across multiple systems. Yet shared API keys and service accounts can make it difficult to determine who initiated a request, whether it was authorized, and what it changed in a critical business system.

Datawiza Agent Gateway addresses these challenges by placing identity and policy checks in the request path, before an agent reaches a protected destination.

Identity, policy, and accountability at runtime

The gateway sits between AI agents and the systems they access through APIs, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and Agent2Agent (A2A) connections. It evaluates the available user and agent identity, requested resource, action, and operating context to determine whether a request should proceed.

Core capabilities include:

  • Identity-aware access control. Connect enterprise identity to agent activity and define which tools, resources, and actions each identity may use. Routine requests can proceed while restricted operations are denied or sensitive actions require approval.
  • Downstream credential protection. Exchange, retrieve, or inject approved credentials at runtime. Agents authenticate to the gateway, while backend API keys, OAuth tokens, and service credentials remain protected in supported brokering flows.
  • Centralized audit trails. Record the initiating identity, acting agent, requested action, policy decision, and available outcome for governed requests, giving security teams a consistent basis for investigations and access reviews.
  • Enterprise system integration. Bring governed AI access to critical systems such as SAP, Oracle ERP, HCM platforms, and custom-built systems through supported APIs and MCP connections. Teams can apply consistent identity, policy, and audit controls to existing business applications without rebuilding them for each agent.

For security and compliance teams, these controls strengthen accountability. For IAM and platform teams, they reduce the need to distribute secrets or build separate authorization logic into each integration. IT leaders and application owners gain a consistent way to govern agent access to the systems their business depends on.

Flexible deployment without rebuilding integrations

Datawiza Agent Gateway integrates with existing identity providers, including Microsoft Entra ID and Okta. Organizations can deploy it on premises, in customer-managed cloud environments, or through a Datawiza-hosted option.

For supported clients with configurable API, MCP, or A2A endpoints, setup involves routing connections through the gateway, connecting identity, and defining policy. No Datawiza SDK or downstream application rewrite is required for those connections.

Organizations can begin with one agent workflow and extend the same governance model as they add tools and use cases—bringing consistent access controls to enterprise AI adoption.
