Dr. Canming Jiang
Co-founder and CEO
Canming co-founded Datawiza with Cunhao “Alex” Gao in 2018, following more than 10 years honing his expertise in network security and cloud technologies. Before Datawiza, he spent about 4 years at Shape Security, where he was a founding member of the company’s cloud team that built a big data cloud platform from scratch. This solution, which continues to protect some of the world’s largest banks, airlines, retailers and government agencies, was a key element in the 2020 acquisition of Shape Security by F5 for $1 billion. Prior to Shape, Canming began his career at Cisco as a security software engineer. He holds a Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from Virginia Tech, a master’s degree in computer engineering from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China.

Cunhao “Alex” Gao
Co-founder and COO
Alex co-founded Datawiza with Dr. Canming Jiang in 2018, after more than a decade of developing his expertise in cloud and ML technologies. A veteran of Google and Amazon, he has leveraged innovations in ML and big data to build highly advanced systems in distributed cloud environments. Alex’s other areas of expertise include computer and network security, optimization, software development and algorithm design. He holds a master’s degree in computer engineering from Virginia Tech, a master’s degree in computer science and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Science and Technology of China. Alex has published multiple papers on computer engineering topics.

Mike Vitagliano
VP Sales and Business Development
Mike is responsible for building Datawiza’s direct sales team and reseller program in North America. As a sales and business development leader, he has established collaboration agreements with more than 50 technology partners. Mike has 42 years of experience in the technology industry, having served in a range of roles, including founder and CEO, vice president of sales and strategy, and advisor to dozens of technology firms. He was the founder and CEO of 3DV Technology and a consumer products company. As a consultant, he provided strategic and operational guidance to the leadership team of Blue Lava, Inc. Mike is also the author of “The Digital Evangelist,” available on Amazon.

Rocky Gunderson
Strategic Advisor
Rocky is a successful entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in business strategy, marketing and business development. He has worked with Fortune 500 technology companies, fast-growing mid-market companies, and startups, leading and advising them in the areas of mobile, cloud, media and enterprise applications and building high-growth, innovative organizations. He has advised founders and executives on product and market strategy and worked with venture and private equity investors. Rocky has held executive-level positions at Hewlett-Packard, Baan, Blue Martini, and SeeSaw Networks, and he is a former Investment Chair for UCLA Ventures.

Dwaine Omyer
Strategic Advisor
Dwaine Omyer, a former vice president of digital security at T-Mobile, has over 22 years of experience leading world-class cybersecurity teams for Fortune 100 companies. He supported the largest telecom merger in U.S. history by directing the integration of the T-Mobile and Sprint cyber teams. He has long been a champion of a cloud-native security strategy that includes broader adoption of public cloud and hybrid cloud services, and he was instrumental in T-Mobile’s digital transformation. Dwaine was nominated for a prestigious 2019 Information Security Executive® (ISE®) North America Award for his work on T-Mobile’s Identity and Access Management solution.

Alan Grebene
Strategic Advisor
Alan has more than 20 years of experience as an executive, advisor and investor in high-growth technology companies. He has scaled multiple companies from the start-up stage through IPO across a variety of leadership roles. In his most recent executive role, Alan helped lead Medallia as EVP and General Counsel from boot-strapped start-up through over 50x revenue growth and global expansion before departing the company after a successful IPO in 2019. As an advisor, Alan works closely with founders and management teams that have established a strong product-market fit to help them navigate the challenges of expanding, scaling and evolving their business for long-term sustainable growth.
